The East Coast is home to more than 40% of the U.S. population, has approximately 35% of the Vehicle Miles Traveled and is the third largest economy in the world. In this complex transportation landscape, there will be many paths states will take towards RUC implementation. This session will focus on actionable steps agencies are taking including in-vehicle telematics testing, congestion pricing exploration, tolling integration, message testing, public opinion surveys, stakeholder engagement, equity analyses and demonstration pilots. Presenters will share how they are leveraging existing programs and funding decisions to move RUC from a concept into a statewide, regional and national approach.
